  • Definition of Gymnastics
  • Gymnastics is the mother of all sports. This makes your body obey you according to the need of the game. This sport makes every muscle in your body listen to your mental instruction.

    The components of Gymnastics are Rhythm, balance, patience, strength, flexibility, concentration and consistency. Exactly the same things which we all like to have in our day to day living. The practice of gymnastics develops and improves all these qualities.

  • Types of Gymnastics
    • Artistic Gymnastics :-
    • In Artistic gymnastics boys and girls have to perform on specigic apparatus to gain maximum score from their performance. this performance is judged by judges as per the difficulty and execution of the exercise.

      Apparatus for girls :-Table Vault, Uneven bars, Balancing Beam and Floor Exercise.

      Apparatus for boys :- Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Roman Rings, Table Vault, Parallel bars and Horizontal Bars

    • Rhythmic Gymnastics :-
    • This type of gymnastics mainly focuses on Rhythm, flexiblity, balance and apparatus handling. The Judges judge the performance of the gymnast on the bais of these four factors.This type of gymnastics is retricted to only girls.These girls can perform on any 4 apparatus of their choice.

      Apparatus for girls :- Hoop (Big Ring), Ball, Ribbon, Rope and Clubs.

    • Aerobics Gymnastics :-
    • This type of gymnastics consist of performing continious, complex , accurate, intensive exercises with the rhythm of the music. Performance of the gymnast is judged by his choreography, aerobics movement, rhythm, balance and dance. Apart from that aerobics can be performed by men as well as womens. This type of gymnatice can also be performed in pairs , Trio and group of four (Pair can be a mixed pair of men and women).

      Categories for mens :- Single, Pair(2), Group(4) and mixed(2).

      Categories for womens :- Single, Pair(2), Trio(3) and mixed(2).

    • AcrobaticsGymnastics :-

      This type of gymnastics is the combination of dance, chroreography, balance, strength. This type of gymnastics can be performed with partner as well as an individual and acrobatics can be performed by men as well as womens.

      Categories for mens :- Single, Pair(2), Group(4), mixed(2) and tumbling

      Categories for womens :- Single, Pair(2), Trio(3), mixed(2) and tumbling.

    • Trampoline Gymnastics :-

      Trampoline gynastics is maninly about balancing, jumping and doing combination of saltos and twists. this game reuires great amount og perfection and accurate landing, twisting and saltoing techniques. the performance of the gymnast is judged by the difficulty and execution of the movements dine y him whilst on the trampoline.

      Categories for mens and womens:- Trampolie, Synchronised trampoline( Done in pairs), Double trampoline and tumbling

    • General Gymnastics:-
    • It can be stated as an combination of all the gymnastics types. Gymnasts learning general gymnastics can have a seperate competetion to analyse their performance. General gymnastics does not have any sex or age barrier and can be performed by any individual who wants to develop his pgisical and mental abilities.

  • There is a fixed method of making your body ready to use above mentioned equipments.

    • Warming up: Your body is made to do simple exercise which makes it ready for bigger things.
    • Stretching : Exercise to develop the flexibility in body
    • Conditioning : Exercise to develop the strength in body.
    • Skill: Exercise to develop the skill in body. These are exercise in which the mental skill is seen through the work done by the body. This skill is also used as per the requirement of different games.
    • Cooling: Where by your body is cooled down in the required way and comes to normal state.
